Abstrak

Treatment of cancer is inseparable from the various side effects of the drug in accordance with the used and long therapies. With a positive spirituality can affect a person's motivation, so high motivation is expected from patients to be obedient to treatment. The objective of the research to analyze the relationship between spirituality with motivation in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. This research uses a correlation with the approach of cross sectional. the population was the whole cancer patients who was undergoing chemotherapy in Edelweiss room RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin and samples taken 65 people with sampling techniques the taking of purposive. Data analysis using test spearman rho. This research shows that respondents have a positive spirituality 62 people (95%) and most have a strong motivation in chemotherapy is 61 people (93,8%). There is a connection between spirituality with motivation in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy in RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin (p value = 0,046). Based on these results a positive spirituality can affect a person's motivation in undergoing chemotherapy. Keywords : Spiritual, Motivation, Cancer and Chemotherapy References: 36 (1997-2017)
