Abstrak
Schizophrenia is a disease that affects the brain and causes the thoughts, perceptions, emotions, movements and behaviors that are strange and disturbed. Schizophrenic patients often experience recurrence so that the patient should control on time according to the advice of the health worker. This study aims to determine the relationship of family support to the compliance of patients with schizophrenia in PoliclinicHospital Psikiatri Sambang Lihum South Kalimantan Province. The research method used analytical with cross sectional approach. The population is a family home with schizophrenic patients who visit the Mental Soul Clinic of Mine Lihum Mental Hospital who have been treated for more than 3 months. Sampling technique using accidental sampling amounted to 30 people. The research instrument used questionnaire. Data analysis using Spearman Rank test with 95% confidence level. The result of the research was obtained family support for most patients with optimal category as many as 25 people (83,3%) and schizophrenia patient mostly obedient to control to health service as many as 20 people (66,7%). There is a relationship of family support with control compliance in schizophrenic patients at Sambang Lihum Hospital Polyclinic South Kalimantan Province, p = 0,000; R = 0.632. The hospitals to further improve health education activities and counseling about the compliance of timely control. Keywords: Family Support, Compliance Control, Schizophrenia
