Abstrak

Based on the incidence of hypertension in June 2016 at the Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan as many as 129 cases for the incident in the elderly. Dimatteo, Dinicola, Thorne and Kyngas conducted research and discussed that there are two factors related to compliance with internal and external factors. Internal factors include the character of the patient such as age, attitudes, social values, and emotions caused by the disease. External factors are health education, interaction of patient with health officer and of course support from family, health officer and friend (Niven, 2002: 58). This study aims to determine factors related to adherence of hypertensive patients to implement hypertension diet in elderly in Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan In this study using cross-sectional design. The population is all elderly who suffer from hypertension registered at Puskesmas Banjarbaru Selatan during June 2016 as many as 129 cases. Samples amounted to 56 people with simple random sampling technique. Hypothesis test using Spearman Rank test. There is a correlation between knowledge about hypertension and adherence of hypertension patient to hypertension diet in elderly (ρ = 0,002, r = 0,403). There was a correlation between attitudes with hypertensive adherence to hypertension diet in elderly (ρ = 0,000, r = 0,492). There is a relationship between family support and adherence of hypertensive patients to implement hypertension diet in elderly (ρ = 0,009, r = 0,346). There is correlation between quality of interaction with adherence of hypertension patient to implement hypertension diet at (ρ = 0,001, r = 0,436) Keywords: Factors, hypertension, Elderly Reference List: 23 (2002-2015)
