Abstrak

In the current era of globalization, all pregnant women hope that during childbirth they do not feel labor pain, but pain during labor, pain is caused by uterine contractions due to increased oxytocin. Uterine contractions are the power that pushes the fetus in the womb down and the cervix dilates so that it affects the birth of the baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of warm compresses and counter pressure on decreasing the level of pain in the first stage of the primigravida latent phase. This research uses Experimental method with Pretest-Posttest Group design. The samples of this study were 15 respondents in the warm compress group and 15 respondents in the counter pressure group. The results before being given a warm compress, respondents experienced severe pain 14 people (93.3%), moderate pain 1 person, (6.7%). After the intervention was given, 4 people with severe pain (26.7%) had moderate pain and 11 people (73.3%). The results before being given counter pressure, respondents experienced severe pain 15 people (100.0%. After the intervention was given, respondents experienced severe pain 6 people (40.0%) moderate pain with 9 people (60.0%). Testing the effect of warm compresses with Wilcoxon signed rank test, the results obtained asymp Sig. (2-tailed) 0.002 <0.005, and the results of counter pressure with the Wilcoxon signed rank test, obtained the results of asymptomatic Sig. (2-tailed) 0.003 <0.005 so that there is an effect of warm compresses and counter pressure on reducing the level of labor pain in the latent phase I Keywords : Warm Compress Therapy, Counter Pressure, Pain Level, Labor Reference : 25 (2011-2021)
