Abstrak

Background:Therapeutic communication is a skill or conscious interaction process carried out by nurses or other health workers on clients to adapt to disturbances both physically and psychologically so that they can help clients to achieve healing or overcome problems so as to help speed up the healing process. Data from Bhayangkara Hospital Level III Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, obtained a cumulative Community Satisfaction index from October to December 2020 reaching a value of 75.03 with a fairly good category. Purpose:The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between nurses' therapeutic communication with the level of patient satisfaction during hospitalization during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study was a quantitative study with a cross sectional design and used the Spearmant Rank test statistical test. The sample was determined by a total sampling technique of 60 people. Results: The results of this study found that there was a relationship between nurse therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction levels, namely:p = 0.001< = 0.05 and = -0.462. Suggestion: It is expected that nurses who work in hospitals, especially in inpatient rooms, can further increase interaction with patients in therapeutic communication which is useful for accelerating the patient's healing process.
