Abstrak

Background: Ergonomics is a science or application that seeks to harmonize work and the environment so humans can work safely and comfortably. Musculoskeletal Disorder is a condition that can affect any part of the skeletal system. Knowledge is very important in shaping a person's decision to act. Objectives: This study aims to identify the correlation between knowledge level of ergonomic position using a laptop with musculoskeletal disorders complaints. Method: This researchis an analytic correlation with a cross -sectional approach study. The research was conducted at the University Of Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin in pharmacy final year. The population in this study were all final year student pharmacy. The sample in this study was pharmacy students final year in May – June 2023. The number of pieces in this study was 100 respondents. Bivariate analysis used the Spearman-Rho test. Result: From the 100 respondents, 48 respondents (48%) had a good knowledge of the low-category Musculoskeletal disorders complaint. Spearman-Rho test found that knowledge level has a correlation with musculoskeletal disorders complaints (p<0.05) It was concluded that students with good knowledge will experience a low risk of musculoskeletal complaints, while students with low knowledge will experience an increase in musculoskeletal disorder complaints. Conclusions: This study concluded that knowledge of the ergonomic position using laptop greatly influences complaints of musculoskeletal and they must know the ergonomic position of laptop use for musculoskeletal complaints through information and in the surrounding environment and the campus must provide leaflets or health education related to ergonomic positions and musculoskeletal complaints.
