Abstrak
Background: Stroke patients usually experience neurological dysfunction, caused to disturbancesin cerebral blood flow and increased intracranial pressure. One of the attempts made to prevent neurological dysfunction is by identifying the factors that influenced it. Objectives: This study aims to identify the associated factors of neurological dysfunction levels on ischemic stroke patients. Method: This research is an observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach study. The research wasconducted in the Stroke Center Room of the Ulin Banjarmasin Hospital. The population in this study were all ischemic stroke patients in the Stroke Center Room. The sample in this study was the entire population who entered the Stroke Center Room on May 12th – June 12th, 2023. The number of samples in this studywas 42 respondents. Bivariate analysis used the SpearmanRho test. Result: From the 42 respondents, 15 patients (35.7%) had a very severe level of neurological dysfunction. Spearman-Rho test found that the four independent variables have a correlation with neurological dysfunction level (p< 0.05), and two other variables have no correlation with neurological dysfunction level (p>0.05). Conclusions: Family education levels, time of golden period, family knowledge levels, and family response have a significant correlation with the neurological dysfunction levels in ischemic stroke patients. Meanwhile, family income levels and transportation do not have a significant correlation with the neurological dysfunction levels in ischemic stroke patients time of golden period is the most dominant factor related to the neurological dysfunction levels in ischemic stroke patients.
