Abstrak

Nursing care is one of the primary indicators in determining the quality of service in hospitals. Complete nursing documentation reflects good nurse performance and adherence to standards. However, many nurses consider documentation to be a complex and time-consuming task. This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation and length of service with nurse performance in nursing care documentation in the inpatient room at RSUD Dr. Murjani Sampit. Specifically, it aims to identify factors influencing nurses' motivation and length of service and to analyze the impact of these variables on documentation performance. This research utilizes a non-experimental quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected through questionnaires filled out by nurses in the inpatient room at RSUD Dr. Murjani Sampit. Data analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between motivation, length of service, and nurse performance in nursing care documentation. The study shows a significant relationship between motivation and length of service with nurse performance in nursing care documentation. Nurses with higher motivation and longer work experience demonstrated better documentation performance. A total of 37 out of 44 nurses (84.1%) aged 25-30 years and 35 out of 46 nurses (76.1%) with 1-5 years of service showed poor performance. Spearman Rank correlation test showed a moderate positive relationship between motivation (r=0.486, p=0.008) and length of service (r=0.493, p=0.007) with performance. To enhance documentation performance, regular training, a conducive work environment, and recognition for nurses are needed. Keywords: Motivation, Length of Service, Nurse Performance, Documentation, Nursing Care. References:25(2018-2024)
