Abstrak
The indoensian government has a program to send many skilled workers such as nurses to fulfill the world workface needs throught the Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesia Migrant Workers (BNP2TKI). There are many Government to Government agreements, one of them is the agreement between Indonesia and Japan. However, many nurse students do not have the courage to work abroad for some reasons, such as language barrier, self-confidence, family barrier, etc. Hermeneutical Phenomenology research was used to inform Indonesian nurse’preparation, their experinces working in japan and the way the cope with the challenges as well as their hope for their better future career. Thre were three participants taking part in answering interview questions regarding the aforementioned problems. The result showed that serious preparation and determination of the candidates are the key factors contributing to their success in working abroad.
