Abstrak

Abstract Thalassemia is a hereditary congenital disease that is inherited in an autosomal based disorder of hemoglobin, where one or more of hemoglobin polypeptide chain less or not formed so resulting in the occurrence of hemolytic anemia (Amin and Hardi, 2015). Based on data from inpatient institutions Dr. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin in the case of thalassemia has increased from 2016 to 2018 by 83%, from 88 cases in 2016 to 161 cases in 2018, and from data collected at the Alexandri ward Dr. Moch. Ansari Saleh Banjarmasin, thalassemia is also a case that gets attention because it ranks 8th in 2016, 2017, and rises to 7th in 2018 (RS. Ansari Saleh, 2019). From the results of assessment, the client looks pale, Hb below normal, and client growth seems late from people his age, so the most important nursing problems is ineffectiveness of peripheral tissue perfusion and the most difficult problem to overcome is risk for disproportionate growth. The main nursing intervention to overcome this problem is collaborating in giving blood transfusions. Report the results of nursing care to clients with Thalassemia in the Ward. includes assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. This scientific paper is made using descriptive methods with a case study approach, in making use of methods that are collecting data, using data analysis and drawing data conclusions. After nursing action, the results of the peripheral peripheral tissue perfusion can be resolved. The application of transfusion to thalassemia is very helpful and can restore the condition of client to be better. Keywords : Thalassemia, transfusion, disproportionate
