Elderly is someone who is 60 years old or more. In the elderly, changes in life often occur, one of psychological problems is loneliness. Loneliness is a feeling of emptiness in oneself due to unsatisfactory social relationships so that feelings of excessive anxiety arise which cause depression. Reminiscence therapy is a modality therapy for depression problems in the form of non-pharmacological interventions involving the encouragement of past memories, often media used such as old photos or music that has been applied to help relieve depression. This study aims to analyze Reminiscince Therapy towards decreasing the GDS scale in the elderly with depression problems. This research used a case study approach in evaluative design. Case study was conducted on one elderly who was 74 years old. Reminiscence Therapy is carried out for 3 days. Evaluation of 3 days of Reminiscence therapy was a decrease in GDS (Geriatric Depression Scale) scores in the elderly before and after Reminiscence Therapy on day 1, the GDS score did not decrease with a score of 8 (mild depression tends to be moderate), day 2 score 7 to 5 (mild depression), and on day 3 the score 6 to 4 (no depression). Reminiscence Therapy is recommended in decreasing the GDS score so that this therapy can be carried out by the elderly independently with their families or health workers.
