Abstrak
Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by bacterial infection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Transmission source is smear positive bacteria-positive bacteria bacteria through the spittle of the sputum that is issued. Contacts primarily to household families and the environment and the most vulnerable to infection are children. The incidence of pulmonary TB in children when untreated can result in malnutrition, immunocompromised conditions, decline in quality of life such as disability that can result in long term socioeconomic problems and even death in children. This study aims to determine the relationship between contact history and history of BCG vaccination with the incidence of pulmonary TB in children in the Polyclinic of Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin in 2017. This research is an analytic survey with case control design. The population of all children aged 7-48 months who regularly visited in Ulin Polyclinic of Ulin Hospital based on data in November-December 2016 amounted to 108 people consisting of 29 children with pulmonary TB and 79 children not pulmonary tuberculosis patients. The sample of this research are some of population of pulmonary tuberculosis patients are 27 people as the case and not suffer from pulmonary tuberculosis amounting to 27 people as control, sampling case sampling technique by accidental sampling and control sample by purposive sampling. Data collection of interviews using questionnaires. Data analysis using chi-square test with α = 0,05. Children had a history of contact (57.4%), history of BCG vaccination (72.2%) vaccinated, chi-square test of contact history (p = 0,000) and BCG vaccination with lung tuberculosis in children (p = 0.033) More than half of children had a history of contact, most of the children were vaccinated with BCG, there was a significant relationship between contact history and history of BCG vaccination with pulmonary tuberculosis incidence at Polyclinic of Ulin Banjarmasin Keywords: Contact history, history of BCG vaccination, incidence of pulmonary TB
